WHAT'S NEW?
And Oh What a Difference a Name Makes
Falcon Heights, Minn., December 13, 2004 - Ciatti's, 1611 Larpenteur Ave. West, is now called the Chianti Grill and the new name reflects the unique dining experience offered by this Twin Cities restaurant.
"Guests are as excited about the improved menu and new wine offerings at the restaurant as we are," said co-owner Bob Gillen. "They even compliment our name change. And business has increased as the word about the Chianti Grill has spread."
The evolution of Ciatti's in Falcon Heights to the Chianti Grill took a major step forward three years ago when owners Gillen and Kevin Schleif enticed Italian chef Angelo Montes to join their already talented team. Originally from Sicily but raised in Northern Italy, Chef Montes brings cultural authenticity and zest to every dish. From the Saltimbocca alla Romana to the Lobster Linguine, Chef Montes and his staff recreate the flavors and aromas of his homeland.
The expansion of the Chianti Grill menu emphasizes the choicest cuts of Black Angus Beef and fresh seafood, including "Chianti Filet" Mignon, "Butcher's Secret" Sirloin, and Bacon-Wrapped Scallops.
The menu is complimented by an extensive and well-balanced wine list. Director of Operations Court Winjum carefully selects wines from all around the world that best compliment the food. The Chianti Grill Wine Club allows customers to earn rewards for their wine purchases. Wine tastings and dinners are regularly scheduled and offer guests the opportunity to learn about new and different wines.
"Wine denotes the good life," Gillen said. "That is why we incorporated a superb wine into the name of our restaurant. We want people to associate the good life with the Chianti Grill through wonderful food and drink, reasonable prices, and comfortable atmosphere."
"We create a relaxed dining experience one would normally find in Napa Valley, California or the Chianti region of Tuscany," Schleif added. "We expanded the menu to include something desirable for every taste, from pasta to seafood to choice Black Angus beef. We've kept our prices moderate and our quality high. We want people to come, enjoy the food and the welcoming atmosphere, and when they leave to be thinking they can't wait to return to sample another entrée and new bottle of wine."
The Chianti Grill is open seven days a week for midday and evening dining. Brunch is a popular offering on Sunday. For more information please call 651-644-2808.
